Andrew Malkinson spent 17 years in prison for the offence before his conviction was quashed in 2023, following DNA evidence that proved his innocence. Quinn was convicted of the rape in April, leading to his sentencing on Friday. Mr Justice Bright, who presided over the sentencing, praised the victim, calling her a 'hero' and a 'remarkable person' for her courage in enduring a second court appearance.
