The candidates were introduced at a community event in Khayelitsha, attended by DA Western Cape Leader Tertuis Simmers, DA Federal Chairperson Solly Msimanga, Western Cape Legislature member Noko Phineas, Political Lead Kathie Christie, Western Cape Minister Ricardo Mackenzie, other public representatives, ward councillors, and residents, including elderly and young people.
The candidates announced were Pearl Lubisi for Ward 93, Zandile Jelwana for Ward 95, Thando Kleinbooi for Ward 96, Bongisa Mhaga for Ward 97, and Sivu Molwana for Ward 98.
