goPayana, a ride-hailing app with a unique driver subscription-based model, developed by Mysuru-based technology company, is all set for a launch in the city on June 7.“Unlike conventional ride-hailing platforms that charge heavy commissions from drivers, goPayana follows a unique subscription-based model. Autorickshaw drivers can avail the platform’s services by paying only ₹25 per day, while cab drivers can subscribe for ₹85 per day. Once subscribed, drivers enjoy unlimited ride opportunities without any additional commissions or deductions,” said a statement by goPayana Smart Mobility Platform by Indeamind Technologies LLP, Mysuru.Founder of Indeamind Technologies Murali S., who is also the Founder-President of Maharaja Education Trust (R), Mysuru, told reporters in Mysuru on Friday that passengers also benefit from complete fare transparency. “Riders pay only the government-approved fare directly to the driver, with no hidden charges, surge pricing, or additional payments to goPayana. This ensures fairness for both passengers and drivers while promoting trust in the mobility ecosystem,” he said.Developed in Mysuru and rooted in Karnataka, he said goPayana is committed to empowering local drivers and providing reliable transportation services through technology. “The platform is available for download on both Google Play Store and Apple App Store”.The app, he said, seeks to create an equitable mobility ecosystem, where “drivers earn more, passengers pay fair government-approved rates, and technology serves society”.With plans to extend the service “beyond cities into villages and the remotest corners of Karnataka,” Mr. Murali said the platform plans to expand rapidly across Karnataka, connecting urban centers, towns, and rural communities through an inclusive mobility network designed around local needs and local drivers. The “driver-friendly” and “passenger-centric” app will be launched at Gopalaswamy PU College at Nanjumalige in Lakshmipuram in Mysuru on June 7.
