With summer comes air-conditioning season, and with air-conditioning season comes the need for a solid cotton cardigan. It’s hands down the best option for keeping at your office desk, in your tote for freezing public transit, and in your carry-on as you fly for any summer trips. One that’s made from 100 percent cotton will keep you warm and still be breathable (not to mention it’s ideal for anyone ready to ditch the synthetics and plastics in your closet like I am). But as this site’s expert on all things clothing basics, I’ve noticed that it’s harder and harder to find reasonably priced all-cotton — let alone any natural-fiber — pieces.
