In fact, Leclerc’s frustration with his race engineer – and his Ferrari team in general – blew up to such a point that, two years ago, Leclerc swapped man-in-ear Xavi Marcos for Bryan Bozzi. Yet still, the snappy remarks continue. “Let’s stop speaking until the last lap,” came the plea from Leclerc, after Bozzi informed his driver of teammate Lewis Hamilton’s superior pace. “You tell me the last lap – and anything absolutely critical.” Received and understood, Charlie. In the end, Leclerc finished fourth, 34 seconds behind Hamilton, who recorded his best-ever finish in second. It may seem intriguing timing, then, when news of Leclerc’s Scuderia contract extension came on Wednesday morning. Fast-forward a fortnight and the malaise in Montreal is seemingly all forgotten and put to bed. Full preview below: Kieran Jackson5 June 2026 11:35Top-10 - driver standings: 1. I’m not going to change my mentality at all, nor am I going to let this put any more pressure onto me.”(Getty)Kieran Jackson5 June 2026 11:22What are the start times in Monaco?Friday 5 June Free practice 1: 12:30pm Free practice 2: 4pm Saturday 6 June Free practice 3: 11:30am Qualifying: 3pm Sunday 7 June Race: 2pmKieran Jackson5 June 2026 11:18F1 Monaco Grand Prix Formula 1 heads to the famous Monte-Carlo street circuit next for the Monaco Grand Prix and round six of the 2026 season. Kimi Antonelli claimed his fourth consecutive victory last time out in Canada, after a thrilling intra-team battle with George Russell ended after the Briton suffered a mechanical failure. It means the 19-year-old Italian has an impressive 43-point lead over his Mercedes teammate. It was a tougher day for McLaren after various car failures and penalties. Reigning world champion Lando Norris will be buoyed, however, as he returns to the scene of one of his greatest wins last year. Charles Leclerc, the hometown hero, was also a past winner in Monte-Carlo in 2024 and will be buoyed by a new contract with Ferrari, signed and sealed this week.
