Joe Jonas has opened up about his co-parenting experience with Game of Thrones star and ex-wife Sophie Turner after the pair were caught up in a custody battle09:45, 05 Jun 2026Joe Jonas has shared his experience of co-parenting with Sophie Turner after their custody battle. The singer said he was "grateful" for Sophie, who he shares the custody of his two daughters with.‌Speaking to his brothers Kevin and Nick on their podcast Hey Jonas, the 36-year-old said: "I'm a single dad and I co-parent with my children's mother."‌He acknowledged that there are a lot of people in a similar "situation" and continued: "I'm grateful that I have a co-parent that I can balance even the bad days."‌"I think being able to have good people around me to kind of help me navigate it is really special." The Cake By The Ocean singer went on to say his children had given him "purpose" in life again."They’ve really given me the reason to be alive, I would say,” Joe said. “I think, in my saddest moments, I’m able to be reminded quickly that a hug from them can solve the world’s problems.”‌Joe and Sophie, 30, got married in 2019 and had two daughters together - Willa, 5, and Delphine, 3. The couple separated in 2023, after four years of marriage.At the time, they released a joint statement, saying they "mutually decided" to end the marriage. The divorce was finalised in September 2024, after a bitter custody battle in which Sophie sued Joe and accused him of withholding her daughters passports so that they could not return to England with her.He denied the allegations and his representatives said the lawsuit was a "harsh legal position" that contravened the "amicable co-parenting set up" they'd put in place. The Game of Thrones actress later dropped the lawsuit and, based on his recent words, their co-parenting relationship appears to be on better terms.‌As well as being single parents, both Sophie and Joe appear to have found love again post-divorce. The Jonas Brothers star was linked to model to Tatiana Gabriela in January of this year and the two have since gone public.‌Meanwhile, Sophie has most recently been linked to Coldplay frontman Chris Martin. After dating Peregrine Pearson in following her divorce, she was said to be dating singer Chris in November 2025, though Sophie has since confirmed that she is single again.While being single, she has taken on a role as Lara Croft in a new Tomb Raider TV series. But, filming had to be paused in March after she suffered a "minor injury" to her back."We look forward to resuming production as soon as possible," an Amazon MGM Studios spokesperson told PageSix. A source added that she could return to the set in two weeks.‌Sources told The US Sun that the actress had a pre-existing back injury that deteriorated as she's faced demanding schedules since filming commenced in January."Sophie has been throwing herself into the role, but the ­gruelling physicality of being Lara Croft has meant she has pushed her body too far," the insider said.
