The Toyota Land Cruiser 300 is among the vehicles affected.
The National Consumer Commission (NCC) has confirmed the recall of over 6,500 Toyota and Lexus vehicles, citing safety concerns.
The NCC said the recalls were issued by Toyota South Africa Motors (TSAM) and Lexus South Africa Motors.
According to the NCC’s spokesperson, Pheto Ntaba, the recall affects 4,858 Toyota vehicles and 1,667 Lexus vehicles sold across South Africa.
The affected Toyota models include the Toyota Crown, Land Cruiser 300, Land Cruiser Prado, RAV4 and bZ4X manufactured and sold between 2022 and 2025.
