Life Spine Announces “Total Victory” in Patent Battle with Globus

Today the United States Court of Appeals, Federal Circuit, issued an opinion rejecting Globus’s last-remaining patent claim against Life Spine.

In 2021, Globus sued Life Spine alleging that Life Spine’s ProLift® line of products infringed Globus patents. Life Spine challenged the patentability of several of the patents and, in 2024, the United States Patent Trial & Appeal Board cancelled all of the claims from four patents that Globus had asserted against Life Spine.

In August 2025, a jury trial was held on Globus’s remaining patent claims in the United States District Court, District of Delaware. The jury rejected Globus’ infringement claims on one of the two remaining patents. Today, the Federal Circuit held that Globus’s only remaining infringement claims were based on an invalid patent.

As a result, Life Spine has now successfully defeated all of Globus’s infringement claims.
