A manhunt was underway on Thursday, June 4, and a $40,000 reward was being offered for information leading to the capture of two "armed and dangerous" inmates who escaped a North Carolina jail.The FBI said Michael Lewis Miles Jr. and Lishawn Knott, who were being held on multiple state drug trafficking and gun-related charges, disappeared at 2 p.m. on June 3 from the Vance County Detention Center in Henderson, near the North Carolina-Virginia state line, about 45 miles north of Raleigh.The FBI said both men were familiar with one another prior to their arrests and may be traveling together or separately. Both are considered armed and dangerous and are not to be approached."We are asking the public to check home surveillance video or trail/hunting camera images to assist in real-time tracking of the escapees," the FBI Charlotte Field Office posted on X.
