The ever-controversial Brandy Melville is the subject of rampant TikTok debate yet again. Over the past few days, a slew of TikToks from customers and store employees have claimed that the fast-fashion brand disassembled its fitting rooms and removed all mirrors from its stores. A customer in London stopped by the brand’s King’s Road location and confirmed that the fitting rooms had been replaced by a single rack of clothes, while a separate woman in the States claimed store employees told her the news directly. Another pointed to a sign taped to a rack noting that the rooms are permanently closed. One resorted to recording herself holding up clothing items to her body as a substitution for a real try-on experience, while another seemingly filmed store employees taking down the dressing room’s rods and flimsy curtains. The brand does not appear to have addressed the rumors on social media.
