The Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Police Command, Abuja, has dismissed reports of an alleged kidnapping incident at Phase 1 Primary School, Gbagalape, Abuja, describing the claim as a false alarm that triggered panic among residents.
The police authorities said there was no abduction, no suspect, and no victim after a full-scale security response and investigation at the school.
According to the Police Public Relations Officer, officers of the Nyanya division were alerted at about 10:30am on Thursday following reports that armed men had invaded the school and abducted pupils.
“Upon receipt of the report, the Divisional Police Officer, Nyanya Division, immediately mobilised officers and surveillance teams to the scene,” the police spokesperson said.
