VISAKHAPATNAMChief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu will arrive in the city on Friday to participate in a high-level national workshop on seafood exports and review key regional infrastructure projects. He will depart from his camp office in Amaravati at 9 a.m. and land at the Visakhapatnam airport at 10.35 a.m.To mark World Environment Day, Mr. Naidu will plant a sapling at the Andhra University Engineering College grounds. He will participate in a promotional bicycle rally along the Beach Road corridor, cycling to the venue of the workshop at Hotel Novotel.High-level delegationThe national workshop, scheduled to see the Chief Minister’s address at 1.50 p.m., will bring together a delegation of Union Ministers, including Piyush Goyal, Chirag Paswan, Rajiv Ranjan Singh, George Kurian, S.P. Singh Baghel, and K. Rammohan Naidu.The technical sessions will feature deliberations between marine aquaculture organisations, seafood export associations, food processing industry leaders, and fisheries startups. The session’s agenda is to discuss bottlenecks facing seafood exports, charting alternative global market channels, and discussing long-term expansion strategies for marine capture fisheries.During the event, institutional benefits under the central Pradhan Mantri Matsya Kisan Samridhi Sah-Yojana (PMKSSY) and Kisan Credit Card (KCC) schemes will be formally distributed to local fishermen and aquaculture farmers.
