The police team investigating the alleged sexual assault and murder of a 10-year-old girl near Sulur in Coimbatore district took the main accused, K. Karthi (35), to the scene of crime at Kannampalayam on Thursday afternoon.Karthi, who is accused of having committed the crime after abducting the minor from her neighbourhood at Pallapalayam on May 21 evening, was made to show the crime scene located in a private land abutting the bund of Kannampalayam tank. He was also made to show the investigators the route he took while abducting the girl, after luring her out promising chocolates.The investigators interrogated Karthi and his accomplice R. Mohan (31), also from Pallapalayam, after getting them in police custody for three days on Wednesday. They will be produced before the Special Court for POCSO Act cases in Coimbatore on Friday.
