As many as 1,260 children of migrant labourers are among the 1,89,345 children aged below five who will get pulse polio drops in Kozhikode district on June 28, 2026.According to Health department officials, the highest number of such children are in Narikkuni (159). There are 143 children of migrant labourers in Cheruvannur, 142 in Olavanna, and 110 in Cheruvadi.There will be 27 mobile units near the residential premises, labour camps, and other areas frequented by migrant labourers, to cover the children. Apart from that, 2,187 booths will be set up at health centres, anganwadis, and libraries, and 54 transit booths will be set up at bus stations and railway stations.The booths will function from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. However, the transit booths will be active between 8 a.m. and 8 p.m. The officials said that if any of the children missed the vaccination, they would be administered the drops at home on June 29 and 30.
