June 4 (UPI) -- A Singapore teenager parlayed his speedy Rubik's cube solving skills into breaking the Guinness World Record for the fastest time to assemble Mr. Potato Head.

Speedcuber Calen Seah said he spent about a year practicing with the toy before taking on the record in January and successfully beating it with a time of 4.63 seconds.

"I used to watch Guinness World Records videos as a child, even before I began speedcubing on YouTube and I always imagined what it would be like to actually be able to get a world record for myself," Seah told Guinness World Records.

Seah, now 16, was only 15 at the time of his attempt.
