A tech professional recently revealed why he sincerely regretted joining a startup. Taking to the subreddit Developers India, the Reddit user explained how miserable he was in a startup. He revealed he was working in an MNC until last month as a Gen AI engineer and was making Rs 1.25 lakhs per month while working just one to two hours a day.However, he wanted to gain more experience in tech and joined a startup with 600 million dollars in valuation. The pay was also good: Rs 27 lakhs per year.However, he started regretting the move about three weeks after joining. He was informed that his managers often engage in micromanaging. He engaged in a one-to-one meeting with him and found that the accusations were true and he was over-controlling. Moreover, his job role left him severely disappointed. He revealed the role did not align with his long-term career goals and he was at a point where he was willing to settle for a job that paid him less than go on with this particular organisation.He also admitted he missed his old job where he had an amazing team and an understanding manager. “I really miss the work culture of my old org and I've been regretting every single day on why I left the old job.
