An 86-year-old man in Trikala, central Greece, is in custody after allegedly shooting and killing his 82-year-old brother, according to state broadcaster ERT.
The incident occurred under unclear circumstances. In his initial statement to authorities, the suspect claimed the firearm discharged accidentally while he was cleaning it.
Police have arrested the man, who is being held at the Trikala police station, while an investigation is underway to determine the exact circumstances surrounding the death.
