Learners enjoy a meal provided by the Institute of Islamic Studies.
In a major boost for community upliftment and grassroots education, Survé Philanthropies has announced a strategic partnership with the Cape Town-based Institute of Islamic Studies.
The collaboration between the philanthropic organisation and the community-based educational initiative aims to expand access to learning, nurture ethical youth development, and support long-term social upliftment across the city through structured, values-based learning.
The Institute of Islamic Studies plays a vital role in local communities by providing tailored Islamic education, as well as Qur’an and Surah reading programmes, to toddlers, primary school learners, and high school students through structured Saturday morning classes. Its comprehensive curriculum spans foundational Islamic learning, Qur’an literacy, and Arabic, alongside a strong emphasis on moral and spiritual growth. By guiding children through different stages of their educational journey, the institute helps young learners build a strong connection to their faith, identity, and ethical responsibility, while fostering discipline and personal development.
