Former ANCYL secretary-general Sindiso Magaqa's murder case was postponed at the Pietermaritzburg High Court on Wednesday.
The absence of an affidavit, which one of the witnesses presented to the Madlanga Commission of Inquiry, is among the reasons the murder case of former ANC Youth League secretary-general Sindiso Magaqa was postponed again at the Pietermaritzburg High Court on Wednesday.
Magaqa was killed after a shooting in his hometown of Umzimkhulu, KwaZulu-Natal, on July 13, 2017, but almost eight years later, it has not been completely solved, except for the conviction of hitman Sibusiso Ncengwa, who was sentenced to a lengthy prison term in July 2025 after confessing to having been hired to kill him.
Zwelithini Stanley Skhosana, a former municipal manager, along with co-conspirators Sbonelo Myeza and Mbulelo Mpofana, are the three individuals accused of murdering Magaqa.
An ANC councillor in the Umzimkhulu Municipality, Magaqa, gained prominence posthumously for his role as a whistle-blower against local government corruption.
