President Cyril Ramaphosa replying to the debate on the Presidency budget vote.
President Cyril Ramaphosa on Wednesday said he will not be distracted by the narrow agendas he described as “political theatrics” that have nothing to do with the interests of South Africans in the build-up to the local government elections.
Replying to the debate on the budget vote of the Presidency, Ramaphosa said his administration was focused on the task of growing an inclusive economy and creating jobs.
“As an institution and as the people who lead it, we are focused on the work that must be done to move with greater urgency and purpose to transform our economy.
“This determination is shared across the government. It is shared by most of the members of this House, and it is certainly shared by the people of this country,” he said.
