New Zealand’s biggest retail bank, ANZ, has lifted most of its home loan rates by 20 basis points.

The only rate not to get the big bump was the fixed one-year rate that went up 10 points, to be 5.39% per annum.

The six months rate was 5.29%, two years was 6.09%, and five years was at 6.49%.

The ANZ bank’s floating rate for home loans was 5.79%.

The changes to lending rates followed last week’s Official Cash Rate announcement in which the Reserve Bank decided to leave the rate unchanged at 2.25%.
