Jusoor Offers 11 Scholarships in Syria and Lebanon

Jusoor, an international non- governmental organisation founded by the Syrian diaspora, has announced 11 scholarships for the 2026/2027 academic year. The scholarships include for the first time, awards for students studying at universities inside Syria.

The Jusoor offer also covers two scholarships at Computer Information System (CIS) College in Lebanon for students in Technical Studies programmes, and nine scholarships in Syria for students pursuing bachelor’s degrees in medicine, dentistry, and other science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) fields.

The scholarships cover tuition and registration fees and partial living stipends and include essential learning materials. Recipients also have access to mental health support, professional development opportunities, networking activities, and Jusoor’s global alumni network. The organisation said the initiative is based on a “pay-it-forward” model, encouraging scholars to contribute to the rebuilding of Syria and the wider Middle East while supporting future generations of students. Members of the Syrian diaspora set up Jusoor in 2011. The organisation describes its mission as “maximising the potential of Syrian youth through education.”
