Kolkata: A four-member Enforcement Directorate (ED) team reached Abhishek Banerjee's Kolkata residence on Wednesday to serve a summons in connection with the alleged primary school recruitment scam.He has been asked to appear at the ED office at the Central Government Office (CGO) Complex in Salt Lake on June 15.The team reportedly waited outside Banerjee's residence. The development comes at a time when the Trinamool Congress is grappling with its biggest rebellion involving 58 party MLAs.The ED officials had arrived at Banerjee's residence, "Santiniketan", on Harish Mukherjee Road in south Kolkata to personally hand over the summons, sources said.The officials waited outside the residence for more than 15 minutes.Banerjee has also been summoned by the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) for questioning on June 8 in connection with the alleged signature mismatches of Trinamool Congress legislators.On Wednesday, Banerjee approached a single-judge vacation bench of the Calcutta High Court seeking protection from coercive police action, including arrest, in the case related to the mismatched signatures of legislators.On June 8, he is scheduled to accompany Mamata Banerjee to New Delhi to attend a crucial meeting of the opposition INDIA bloc.
