Foreign ministers of Saudi Arabia, Jordan condemn Iranian attacks on Kuwait, Bahrain

RIYADH: Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan and his Jordanian counterpart Ayman Safadi condemned “brutal” Iranian attacks targeting Kuwait and Bahrain on Wednesday.

An Iranian attack killed an Indian national and injured 63 people at Kuwait's international airport on Wednesday, forcing it to close temporarily.

Bahrain’s Defense Ministry, meanwhile, said its military intercepted and destroyed three missiles and a number of drones fired by Iran.

During a telephone call, Prince Faisal and Safadi denounced Iran’s violation of Kuwaiti and Bahraini sovereignty and its undermining of efforts to de-escalate current tensions, the Saudi Press Agency reported.
