The US Highbush Blueberry Council (USHBC) will host “Blueberries Go Big India 2026” in Mumbai on June 10.This event will bring together leading chefs, food technologists, nutrition experts, importers, retailers, food service professionals, and food industry leaders to explore the growing opportunities for USA blueberries in India.Chef Sanjeev Kapoor will launch of the recipe book “USA blueberries across the globe” on the occasion.A media statement said the book presents creative and practical ways to use USA blueberries across global and Indian-inspired recipes, with applications suitable for home kitchens, chefs, bakeries, cafés, food service operators, and food manufacturers.Quoting Raj Kapoor, India representative of USHBC and Managing Director, Assocom India Pvt Ltd, the statement said USA blueberries are increasingly being explored in India not only as a premium fruit, but also as a versatile ingredient for food processing, culinary innovation, healthy snacking, bakery, dairy, beverages, mithai, desserts, and food service applications. The launch of this recipe book by chef Sanjeev Kapoor will further encourage Indian chefs, food businesses, and consumers to use blueberries in creative and practical ways, he said.Sample programme launchHaiying Zhang, Director – Global Business Development, USHBC, and Nicole C Podesta, Senior Agricultural Attaché, US Consulate General, Mumbai / USDA – Foreign Agricultural Service, will address the event on that day.The programme will feature focused discussions on market opportunities, culinary concepts, nutrition, food processing applications, ingredient formats, and new product development, the statement said.The event will also witness the launch of USA Blueberries Quality Sample Programme.
