Trump further defended the military action against Iran, describing it as a decision that could not be postponed because of what he viewed as an imminent nuclear threat.

United States President Donald Trump has dismissed claims that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu influenced or manipulated him into launching military attacks against Iran, insisting that the decision was entirely his own and driven by concerns over Tehran's nuclear ambitions.

Speaking during an appearance on the Pod Force One podcast, Trump pushed back against claims that he was pressured by Israel into supporting military strikes against Iran.

“He tricked me? I’m the one that started it,” Trump said, according to Al Jazeera, maintaining that his actions were motivated by the belief that Iran must not be allowed to acquire nuclear weapons. “We can’t let them have a nuclear weapon.”

The U.S. president blamed critics of the operation on his political opponents, whom he mocked during the interview.
