According to a spokesperson for the Western Cape Department of Health and Wellness in Khayelitsha’s Eastern sub-structure, Abulele Dyasi, the facility currently possesses the necessary staff and equipment to deliver healthcare services.
However, Dyasi noted that the rapid expansion of the local community is creating ongoing strain on these services due to population growth.
