Coronation Street's Jodie Ramsey looks set to be exposed by none other than her long-lost brother-in-law David Platt in upcoming scenes on the long-running ITV soap14:38, 03 Jun 2026Coronation Street's Jodie Ramsey looks set to be exposed by David Platt. The former café waitress, played by Olivia Frances Brown, turned up in Weatherfield as the long-lost sister of Shona Platt in the crossover with Emmerdale, and has been confusing viewers ever since with the bizarre behaviour she has exhibited. It's been a few months now, but when she first arrived on the ITV soap, Jodie was seen stealing various items that belonged to neighbours and kept them in a trinket box. Since then, she's turned up at the hospital her sick niece Harper is staying in and tried to pass herself off as her mum, and tried to sleep with David when they were alone in the house. In more recent weeks, Jodie has struck up something of a relationship with schoolteacher Daniel Osbourne, who is coming to terms with the fact that his ex-girlfriend Megan had an illicit relationship with a student, and, for some reason, spread rumours about him online under an anonymous account known only as Truthteller but he recently figured it all out and threw her out.Now though, spoilers have revealed that, Jodie, having got her feet back under the table at number eight, will finally be rumbled by none other than her brother-in-law and she might finally face some sort of comeuppance for her actions. In scenes set to air in the coming weeks, David can’t find Harper’s five month milestone card they end up missing her photo shoot at the hospital. Shona’s gutted and back home David accuses Jodie of stealing the card.Viewers will surely be pleased that the mysterious character is seemingly set to face the music, as fans recently flooded social media with demands to know what exactly was going on.One viewer took to X to wonder just what her motive is as - despite spending several months on the soap so far - no one seems to have any clue. One fan wrote: "Can someone explain the point of this character to me? Nearly half a year on the show and all she’s done is cause bits of trouble for random characters with no real motive."Another said: "Used to like Jodie but she’s one manipulative b****," and another said: "Oh f*** off Jodie, David has never been interested in you, you twisted f***!" Another said: "Why not change the name to The Jodie show? I dont care about her, she's unlikeable , she's pointless!"A fifth pleaded with bosses to change things on the programme as they claimed that it had become so far removed from what it was intended to be when created by Tony Warren more than 65 years ago. They wrote: " really makes my teeth itch! Does ANYone in this Godforsaken street have a normal life? Like most of the rest of us? It's SO far away from the original premise. Please stop!"Another said: "Daniel has figured that Jodie is being trolling. What I don't understand about her character, is, what is the point in all of the chaos she causes? I don't quite understand the point."Article continues belowCoronation Street airs Monday to Friday at 8:30pm on ITV1 and is available to stream from 7am on ITV X.* Follow Mirror Celebs and TV on TikTok , Snapchat , Instagram , Twitter , Facebook , YouTube and Threads .
