Jodie Ramsey is set to be exposed as Truthteller on Coronation Street and her actions ultimately lead to tragedy in upcoming scenes on the world's longest-running TV soap22:41, 28 May 2026Updated 22:41, 28 May 2026Jodie Ramsey is set to be exposed as Truthteller on Coronation Street . The former cafe worker, who is played by Olivia Frances Brown, has been exhibiting mysterious behaviour ever since she arrived as the long-lost sister of Shona Platt (Julia Goulding) in the soap's crossover with Emmerdale earlier this year.So far, she has stolen various random items that belong to members of the Weatherfield community, and clearly has some kind of dark past but in more recent weeks, she has managed to get her feet under the table at Daniel Osbourne's flat, having broken in and somehow gained his trust.Schoolteacher Daniel, the son of Ken Barlow (William Roache), has been through a horrendous time lately after discovering that his now ex-girlfriend Megan Walsh (Beth Nixon) was a paedophile who had groomed her student Will Driscoll into an illicit relationship. Jodie, for some reason, has used this to spread malicious and defamatory lies about Daniel using an anonymous forum online and it has sent Daniel into a dark spiral.Spoilers have now revealed that in scenes set to air in the coming weeks, Daniel checks his laptop for further vile posts, as Jodie makes a throw away remark. But it's in that moment that he realises with horror that she’s his troll. A furious Daniel tells Jodie how she's caused him sleepless nights and depression, all whilst callously acting as his confidante, and throws her out.He then heads to the Rovers where he drunkenly announces what has happened, but Jodie turns on the waterworks and walks out. Back at home, Daniel is too drunk to even think about feeding his son Bertie, and the primary school boy sets about making himself something to eat.But it all goes wrong when he sets the kitchen on fire, and the little one rushes out, leaving Daniel dead to the world on the sofa as smoke fills the flat.Actor Rob Mallard previously explained that upcoming scenes will leave Daniel feeling racked with guilt over Betie, whose mum Sinead (Katie McGlynn) died from cervical cancer in 2019.Rob said: "It’s like he's betrayed the only woman that was loyal to him, because he promised Sinead that he would put himself second and Bertie first always."And yet he's allowed recent events to push Bertie to second, third, fourth place in his mind. So basically the only woman that didn't betray him, he feels like he's let her down now posthumously. "It's 100% a wake up call. He’s completely beside himself, he thinks that he's going to have his kid taken off him and again it's all to do with keeping a promise that he made to Sinead.Article continues below"I think he could keep going further. Once someone gets a bit of mud on them, you might as well get properly dirty. I think that in terms of Daniel’s character, if he's going to go off the rails, he should go off them properly, possibly even lose custody of Bertie temporarily, really teach him a lesson."Coronation Street airs Monday to Friday at 8:30pm on ITV1 and is available to stream from 7am on ITV X.* Follow Mirror Celebs and TV on TikTok , Snapchat , Instagram ,Twitter ,Facebook , YouTube and Threads .
