Axed Strictly Come Dancing star Nadiya Bychkova had claimed she’s in talks to return to the series in the future.Bychkova, 36, was one of four professionals – alongside Karen Hauer, Michelle Tisakkis and Luba Mushtuk – to be dropped from the BBC competition as part of a major overhaul this year. But according to the Ukrainian dancer, she could be enlisted as a choreographer behind the scenes.Three months after her departure from the show was confirmed, Bychkova has told Hello! that a possible return is “absolutely” on the cards, adding: “We are talking about, hopefully, in the future me coming in and choreographing some of the pro numbers.”‘Strictly’ professional Nadiya Bychkova might be returning in a behind-the-scenes capacity (BBC)She said it’s “the natural thing to do” as it’s what she “loves and wants to do” – and added that “it would be beautiful to see some of my creations and stories I want to tell through dance on Strictly one day”. “The team have known for years how passionate I am about creating things and choreographing,” she continued. “Lots of producers came to watch shows that I did myself.”At the time her exit was announced, Bychkova, whose previous celebrity dance partners included Dan Walker and Davood Ghadami, wrote: “After nine wonderful years, this part of my journey with Strictly Come Dancing is evolving.“There is something truly special about being part of a programme that plays such a big part in so many people’s lives, and I want to thank all those who have sent beautiful messages over the last few weeks and those who have voted, shouted, supported, celebrated and cheered during every series.“Strictly has allowed me to discover new sides of myself, develop new skills, and evolve as an artist in ways I will always be grateful for. This isn’t the end... I look forward to being part of the Strictly world for many years to come in ways I am beginning to explore.”Bychokova, Hauer, Tisakkis and Mushtuk aren’t the only dancers to be waltzing away from the series; Gorka Marquez has also quit the show and will instead be a judge on the Spanish version.Watch Apple TV+ free for 7 dayNew subscribers only. £9.99/mo. after free trial. The dancer grew tearful when she addressed her departure, telling the crowd: “What I’ve been saying is that the dance we love has to sometimes come to an end, but that doesn’t mean the music stops. It means there are new dances waiting to be discovered, new steps to learn and new stories to tell.”
