The Chinese manufacturer says the new S2000, with a 400 W solar input, can deliver up to 35 hours of continuous refrigerator backup.

Chinese manufacturer Anker Solix has announced a new 2 kWh home backup power station.

The company claims the product, named S2000, delivers up to 35 hours of continuous refrigerator backup. It received the highest rating from TÜV SÜD for real-world power delivery.

“Runtime is not just about how much energy is stored, but how much is actually delivered, after idle drain and conversion loss,” a statement from the company explains. “The S2000 is powered by proprietary OptiSave Technology, a system-level approach that reduces idle power consumption by 40-70%, down to sub-6W, and achieves over 90% light-load efficiency.”

The system uses 314 Ah LiFePO4 battery cells with up to 10,000 cycles. It has a 400 W solar input, while its AC input is 1,150 W, 1,800 W, and 1,600 W for charging, bypass and ultrafast charging, respectively. It has five 1,500 AC outputs, one 100 W USB-C output, one 15 W USB-C output and one 12 W USB-A output.
