The new Anker SOLIX S2000 power station is primarily concerned with reducing idle power consumption to provide “the longest lasting 2kWh portable power station.” One big feature here is the new OptiSave tech that “reduces idle power consumption by 40 to 70 percent down to sub-6W, and achieves over 90 percent light-load efficiency.” This beats out the industry’s standard 10W to 20W idle draw we usually see on models.
It comes with a 2,010Wh LiFePO4 battery capacity that is especially nice for refrigerator backup during emergencies, as the brand celebrates it as a solution to deliver “up to 35 hours of refrigerator backup with 20 percent more real-world runtime than competing 2kWh units.” There are eight output ports (5x ACs, 2x USB-Cs, 1x USB-A), through which it provides up to 1,500W of steady power and surges up to 3,000W.
It’s also following right along in the paths walked by the brand’s Gen2 power stations, with a more compact design that measures 8.19 inches by 11.1 inches by 12.7 inches alongside a vertical build that slides more easily against kitchen walls when used for appliance backup so you aren’t losing counter space. It has four primary recharging methods: from a typical AC outlet, with up to 400W of solar panel input, using an alternator charger, or by using both AC and solar charging together, pushing its maximum input up to 1,700W for the fastest charging speeds.
