VIDEO: Gatundu woman rescued after sinking waist-deep in arrowroot farm mud
Drama unfolded in Gatundu, Kiambu County, after a local woman became deeply trapped in thick mud while planting arrowroots, locally known as nduma.
Residents were left shocked and worried as the unidentified woman found herself stuck waist-deep in the slippery terrain, unable to free herself despite her desperate struggles.
In a video seen by TNX Africa, the incident reportedly occurred in an arrowroot field in Gatundu, where the soil had become dangerously soft and treacherous.
As the woman worked, she suddenly sank deeper with every attempt to move, the mud gripping her tightly.
