Building on one another’s ideas can break creative blocks and spark fresh possibilities. One such collaborative songwriting workshop, Finish That Song by Hima Varsha Pendyala, will be held in Hyderabad on June 6 at Aaromale. “We often meet friends to jam, and something beautiful emerges spontaneously from those moments. I wanted to take that experience and turn it into a workshop,” says the singer-songwriter and composer.An alumna of Swarnabhoomi Academy of Music, a residential music school in Kodur, Tamil Nadu, Hima plans to draw on her creative toolkit to help indie musicians complete unfinished songs.“I’ll help participants untangle their narratives using different tools and practices that have worked for me, while also encouraging them to stop overthinking and get started.
