A flight from the United Kingdom to Turkey was diverted to Greece after a passenger became drunk, unruly and began shouting at other passengers, the Athens-Macedonian News Agency reported Wednesday.
The flight from Manchester to Antalya departed late Tuesday but was forced to change course due to the man’s behavior on board.
The passenger, a 39-year-old British man, was arrested after the aircraft landed in Thessaloniki in northern Greece.
He has been charged with disturbing the peace, disrupting transport operations and failing to comply with crew instructions.
