The makers of Balaramana Dinagalu have locked the release date of the movie. The Kannada period gangster drama is directed by K M Chaitanya of Aa Dinagalu fame.KVN Productions, the banner behind Jana Nayagan and Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-Ups, will distribute the movie. Starring Vinod Prabhakar, Balaramana Dinagalu will hit the screens on June 26, 2026.So far, the makers have released two songs and a teaser for the movie. The film appears to be set in the universe of Aa Dinagalu. The movie is bankrolled by Padmavati Jayaram and Shreyas under the banner Padmavati Films.This film, which is set in the 80s, has cinematography by Venu. Vinod Prabhakar appears in the titular role while Priya Anand plays the female lead.Atul Kulkarni, Sharath Lohitashwa, Ashish Vidyarthi, and Vinay Gowda of Bigg Boss fame are the prominent actors in the movie. Ace Tamil music composer Santhosh Narayanan is making his Kannada debut with the movie.Meanwhile, Vinod Prabhakar is back on the big screen after the success of Maadeva (2025). Released on June 06, 2025, the movie went on to complete 50 days in theatres. Meanwhile, Chaitanya’s Aa Dinagalu, released in 2007, was praised for its realistic depiction of Bengaluru’s underworld.
