After completing its theatrical run earlier this year, Kannada action drama KD: The Devil is now preparing for its OTT release. The film, led by Dhruva Sarja and Sanjay Dutt, had arrived in cinemas on April 30, 2026. He is introduced as a carefree and uneducated young man who enjoys life and deeply values his family. Despite his good nature, his elder brother Dharma constantly looks down on him and doubts his abilities.As a child, KD grows up admiring a feared gangster named Dhak Deva, portrayed by Sanjay Dutt. The song, featuring Nora Fatehi and Sanjay Dutt, received criticism online for its suggestive lyrics.Reports stated that the Hindi version of the track was later removed from YouTube and other platforms following backlash and legal complaints. The issue also reportedly reached bodies including the CBFC, NHRC and State Women’s Commissions from Karnataka and Haryana.Nora Fatehi had reportedly said she did not know the meaning of the lyrics while filming the song. Lyricist Raqueeb Alam also reportedly clarified that he had translated the Kannada lyrics written by director Prem.Following the controversy, changes were made before the film’s release.
