President Lee Jae Myung took to X on Wednesday — Election Day for the 2026 local elections — to encourage citizens to vote, invoking the words of the ancient Greek philosopher Plato.

"Have you voted so as not to be ruled by the worst and most ignoble, as Plato said?" he wrote.
