US State Department spokesperson Tommy Pigott said Israeli and Lebanese delegations have concluded another round of direct negotiations in Washington, DC, focused on reaching a comprehensive political and security agreement.

“Progress continues on the political and security tracks as we break from the failures of the past 20 years and advance toward a comprehensive agreement aimed at restoring Lebanon’s sovereignty and ensuring Israel’s security,” Pigott said in a social media post.

He added that another round of talks is scheduled to take place on Wednesday.
