According to estimates from market intelligence firm Sensor Tower, ChatGPT crossed the one-billion monthly active users mark in May — roughly three years after launch, Reuters reported on Tuesday.
The platform has outpaced the growth trajectories of apps including TikTok, Instagram, YouTube and Google Maps.
