The Ondo State Police Command on Tuesday declared that the state was safe and that no security breach was recorded anywhere.
The command reacted to a report that schools were ordered closed in the Odigbo Local Government Area of the state by the chairman of the council, Mr Taiwo Adegoroye, following a security threat, but the latter denied the report, saying it never emanated from his office.
In a statement issued by the police Public Relations Officer, DSP Abayomi Jimoh, the command said there was no security breach in the local government and urged residents to go about their lawful businesses.
Jimoh said, “The Ondo State Police Command wishes to reassure residents of Odigbo Local Government Area and the general public that there has been no recorded breach of security, terrorist threat or any incident capable of causing panic within the local government.
