They added that he "advanced attack plans against IDF soldiers and Israeli civilians."3 hours agoGovernment approves budget plan for special tribunal for Hamas militants who participated in the October 7 massacreThe Ministry of Defense and the Ministry of Finance announced that the government has approved their budget plan to establish a special tribunal for Hamas militants who participated in the October 7 massacre.According to the approved outline, the Ministry of Defense and the IDF will be allocated over a billion shekels to establish the infrastructure required to establish and maintain the court complex, the prosecution and the IDF headquarters, salary costs, maintenance and upkeep of the buildings, computer systems, food and medicine.Last month, the Knesset plenum approved the bill, which stipulates that the special tribunal – tasked with trying more than 250 Hamas elite Nukhba force terrorists detained in Israel since the attack – will function as a military court. Indictments will include charges such as genocide, harming state sovereignty or territorial integrity, initiating war, aiding the enemy in wartime, offenses under the Counter-Terrorism Law and murder.Cases will be heard by a military court in Jerusalem. The IDF chief of staff, upon the recommendation of the Military Advocate General, will be authorized to appoint prosecutors.
