Union Minister of State for Home Affairs Bandi Sanjay Kumar, on Tuesday, alleged that Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy’s sharp remarks against Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis were an attempt to ‘divert attention’ from pressing issues in Telangana, including paddy procurement and the implementation of the six guarantees promised before the elections.Addressing partymen at the State officer during the State Formation Day celebrations, he claimed that the public was increasingly ‘repulsed’ by the Congress government, describing the administration as ‘chaotic and ineffective’. “It has turned into a ‘Triple C administration’ — corruption, collection and commission,” he said.Mr. Sanjay Kumar remarked that if people felt they were ‘on the frying pan’ under the BRS government, they had now ‘fallen into the fire’ under the Congress rule. The Maharashtra government had earlier extended cooperation on the Kaleshwaram project in the past to Telangana, he said and added that he was willing to facilitate a meeting with Mr. Fadnavis. “If you are unable to secure an appointment, I or Mr. Kishan Reddy are ready to step in and make every effort to arrange it,” he said, addressing Mr. Revanth Reddy. He also advised the State leadership to maintain cordial relations with neighbouring States instead of engaging in what he termed as unnecessary political confrontation for electoral gains. Emphasising the importance of Central assistance for the State’s development, the Minister asserted that the BJP would bring in substantial funds if voted to power. Former Governor Bandaru Dattatreya, MP Konda Vishweshwar Reddy, MLA Yeleti Maheshwar Reddy, and MLCs Malka Komaraiah and Anji Reddy, along with other party leaders were present.
