Tamil Nadu Industries, Investment Promotion and Commerce Minister S. Keerthana on Tuesday visited the Hyundai Mobis India facility located in the SIPCOT Industrial Park at Irungattukottai, Kancheepuram district, following a fire accident that occurred there on Sunday. The minister with her team of officials inspected the site of the fire incident, and held discussions with representatives of Hyundai Motor India and Hyundai Mobis India regarding the incident.A government release mentioned that no workers were injured, no loss of life occurred, and the fire did not spread to neighbouring industrial units.Senior officials from the Industries Department, SIPCOT, Kancheepuram district administration and Hyundai Motor India participated in the inspection.Published on June 2, 2026
