Rebekah Vardy relives horror of home raid by armed men in new ITV series16:38, 02 Jun 2026Updated 17:05, 02 Jun 2026The Vardys: CCTV shows break in at their Italian home Rebekah Vardy has spoken about the horror of her family home being robbed at gunpoint - which left her both furious and feeling “violated”. Husband Jamie now seems unlikely to play football abroad again after his Italian nightmare - as he can’t guarantee his family would go to live with him,The full nightmare ordeal for them is laid bare in three part series The Vardys, including the moment they find out their Lake Garda Villa was robbed by masked raiders whilst they were away at a football match. After coming home in November last year after a match, Rebekah Vardy is seen asking her daughter: “Did you move my watches? I’m honestly not joking.” Footballer Jamie replies: “I’m looking at the cameras[CCTV].”His wife then says: “No it’s not f**king OK. Babe I am f**king going home.” Viewers see black and white footage of the raiders from CCTV going through the wardrobes of the house before making off with jewellery and watches worth £80,000.“You can clearly see five armed guys with crowbars and balaclavas,” she adds.Rebekah, 44, tells ITV: “When I came back into the house, I could sense that something wasn't right. All my wardrobe doors were open. I knew someone had been in and taken my stuff. What happened over this weekend has just been a nightmare, and has always been one of my biggest, biggest fears.“I feel totally violated, you know, the thought of someone being in your house and going through your stuff. I’m on edge 24/7 now. I feel like I just don't know what to do for the best, but the thing is, I don't quit, like I'm not a quitter, but I think when something like this happens, it makes you question like everything.”After the raid, Rebekah took her kids skiing to try to do something positive for the family. But whilst In the chalet she asked the kids to pinpoint the best and worst bits about moving to Italy, in a game of ‘peak and pits’.They struggle to find high points and son Taylor says: “It's all pits. I'd rather go back to England.”Afterwards Rebekah says: “I'm not too surprised by the kids' answers. If I'm completely honest, even with all this ski and the amazing scenery, the kids just want to be at home.”She and Jamie agree the family will go back earlier than planned and he lived in a hotel for the final weeks of his time with Cremonese, who were relegated on the last day of the season. Jamie has been linked with clubs including Sheffield Wednesday, Hull City and Wrexham. But there is also thought to be interest from the Netherlands although this Italian experience may well have put him off playing abroad again.Jamie admits: “It’s been tough, there’s been a lot of issues." Rebekah adds: “We could be packing up and leaving all over again. I just can’t think of that at the minute. My anxiety will tip me over the edge.”* Three part series The Vardys is available to stream as a boxset on ITVX now.Article continues belowLike this story?
