The prosecutor of Islamshahr announced the detention of 100 individuals in the county during the recent military conflicts, claiming that they were arrested over their alleged connections with what he described as “hostile networks.”

Among those detained are a number of individuals under the age of 18. He did not provide further details regarding the identities of the detainees, the arresting agency, the exact charges attributed to them, or the status of their judicial cases. Furthermore, the judicial official has not published any explanation regarding the number of minors detained or the conditions under which they are being held.

The recent detentions come at a time when, since the outbreak of the 40-day war between Iran, the United States, and Israel, numerous reports have emerged about an increase in the arrests of citizens, civil activists, journalists, social media users, and individuals accused of cooperating with “the enemy” across various parts of the country. In recent weeks, human rights organizations have voiced serious concerns over the expansion of the security atmosphere, the rise in detentions, and restricted access for detainees to legal counsel and due process.
