The Judiciary of Iran announced the execution of three men in two separate cases involving charges of child sexual assault.

The Mizan News Agency, affiliated with the Judiciary, reported that two men were executed in Qorveh County on charges of sexually assaulting a 14-year-old adolescent. According to the report, the defendants confessed to committing the crime during judicial proceedings, and their death sentences were carried out after being upheld by the Supreme Court. Mizan did not publish further details regarding the trial dates or case proceedings.

In a separate case, a man was executed in Rasht on charges of sexually assaulting and murdering a 10-year-old child before abandoning the body, in an incident that occurred in August 2025. The Mizan News Agency stated that this defendant had also confessed to the crime, and the sentence was carried out after being upheld by the Supreme Court.

The implementation of these sentences comes at a time when, according to reports by human rights organizations, Iran continues to have one of the highest rates of executions globally. These organizations have also reported a rise in the number of executions in recent months following the outbreak of the war.
