Kuala Lumpur International Airport in Malaysia ranked second with seat capacity of 3.23 million, up 1.1% year on year.
The airport in Sepang spans roughly 100 square kilometers, making it Southeast Asia's largest airport by land area and a key hub for both domestic and international air travel.
Thailand's Suvarnabhumi International Airport ranked third in May capacity with 2.98 million seats, down 3.7%.
Indonesia's Soekarno-Hatta Airport claimed the fourth position with 2.9 million, down 4.9% while Ninoy Aquino International Airport in the Philippines ranked fifth with 2.8 million passengers, marking a 2.6% increase, the highest growth rate among the airports listed.
Ho Chi Minh City's Tan Son Nhat Airport ranked sixth with 1.95 million, down 12%, followed by Hanoi's Noi Bai Airport with 1.7 million, down 3.9%.
