June 2 (UPI) -- Liverpool agreed to hire Andoni Iraola as head coach.
Sources told Sky Sports, reporter Fabrizio Romano and GiveMeSport about the agreement Tuesday morning. Iraola spent the last three seasons at Bournemouth.
The Cherries improved during each of their three campaigns under Iraola. They placed 12th in his first season, ninth in 2024-25 and sixth in 2025-26.
Iraola previously coached Spanish La Liga club Rayo Vallecano and at second-tier Spanish club Mirandes. He started his managerial career at AEK Larnaca, a Cyprus-based club.
