The hypt Report Banking Switzerland 2026 examined how Swiss banks are perceived and recommended by leading large language models (LLMs) such as ChatGPT and its peers. According to the report, these systems are becoming increasingly important. Within just one year, the share of AI-driven business recommendations rose from 6 percent to 45 percent. Traditional Google search declined to just over 70 percent, while Facebook has also unexpectedly regained relevance as a source of information.

Key findings from the study:

82 percent of customers read AI-generated summaries of reviews.

31 percent of consumers exclusively use companies with ratings of 4,5 stars or higher. However, fewer than 10 percent of the analyzed bank branches with more than 15 reviews exceed this threshold.

74 percent of search users consider only reviews written within the last three months.
